Year Planner

Back to installations

Painting has dissolved all evil within me

If I hadn’t taken the brush I would have seized the gun

Or I would have seized the teargas canister

I have now understood all the evil and have decided to stand against them

Now I dash raw colours directly onto the canvas or wood surfaces from the tube and I have been compiling the “year planner” with my palette knife and brush.

The year planner is all about looking at the remnants of a war that has been threatening peace while claiming many lives. It is also about taking a position against the war and its consequences.

Who plans our space of time? Whoever plans it, I believe it is my duty to intervene into this project. I can see its shapes. I can recognize its time and space. That recognition allows me to rearrange the remnants of shapes, burned pieces of wood and destroyed stuff. This intervention allows me to put these in a new layout again and again. But I can only give this process a certain sense of feeling and direction.
